Critic reviews be damned, Suicide Squad is still on track to break August box office records. Even as someone who was still disappointed with the film, I still found it to be an entertaining time at the cinema and would love to see more of the characters in future films. One of the coolest things that this film is bringing out though is that it has been bringing out the creative side of fans – whether it is through cosplay, fan-art, etc. But I must say without a doubt, quite possibly the coolest fan-created piece of work is this incredible LEGO animated video by YouTuber forrestfire101.

This video was a recreation of one of the film’s TV spots. Sure, it’s brief but that does not stop from this recreation from being all the more impressive. This YouTuber has done a lot of LEGO stop motion videos in the past, and he always has a sense of fun and passion in his work, and this video is no different. Just take a look at the intricacies of the animation here. Talk about dedication.

For those interested in how this TV spot recreation compares to the original video, you can take reference right here:

Meanwhile, a VFX breakdown was also uploaded for this video – giving a really cool look at how this video was put together. The best types of fans are those who commit their love of a property into their own creations. Check it out.

Suicide Squad hits theaters tomorrow.
