Next year, the Power Rangers will (finally) become cool again. The upcoming live-action reboot is set to hit theatres everywhere on March 24. The highly anticipated film is full of some incredibly talented individuals. Included in the cast is Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston, Superbad‘s Bill Hader and Pitch Perfect 2 director, Elizabeth Banks. The movie is taking a much darker, and serious route when compared to the loveable cheese of the original 1990s television show. As a Rangers fanboy for my entire life, to see the series being taken so seriously is a blessing.
While on display, the Rangers’ new suits were snapped and below we have some cool images as well as a video of the outfits in all their glory. Below, you can see the heroes’ costumes, with Dacre Montgomery’s Red Ranger leading the pack down the middle. Further below, you can also check out an awesome close up of Banks’ villainous get up as Rita Repulsa. From a closer look, one theory is beginning to come quite clear; did Repulsa have something to with the creation of the Rangers’ suits? They certainly look similar.

In a fun little thing, doughnut giant Krispy Kreme are also developing Power Rangers themed doughnuts to promote the upcoming flick. You can check those out below, too.
