Chiwetel Ejiofor has secured a role in Sony’s Venom 3. According to a recent report by Deadline, Ejiofor has officially joined the cast of the Tom Hardy starrer, but his character remains shrouded in mystery.
Known to comic book fans for his role as Baron Mordo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Chiwetel Ejiofor has consistently delivered powerful performances throughout his career. He has received numerous accolades, including an Academy Award nomination for his role in 12 Years a Slave.
Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Baron Mordo played a significant role in the first two Doctor Strange movies. Initially portrayed as a trusted mentor, Mordo’s character evolved, driven by disillusionment with the misuse of magic. It remains unclear if Ejiofor will reprise the same role in Venom 3.
Rumors suggest that Venom 3 may be utilizing the working title of “Orwell.” While the movie is currently in the post-production phase, its filming start date remains uncertain due to the ongoing writers strike.

Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal and Hutch Parker are producing Venom 3. The four were also involved with the first two Venom movies, which were directed by Ruben Fleischer and Andy Serkis. Kelly Marcel is making her directorial debut with the third installment.
