Chris Evans is gearing up to return to the role of the Captain America in the MCU.
Deadline reports that Chris Evans is expected to reprise his role as Captain America in an upcoming MCU project, with “the door open for a second film.” The return isn’t expected to be for a new Captain America installment but rather an appearance similar to the ones Robert Downey Jr. did in MCU films like Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Chris Evans was last seen as Captain America in Avengers: Endgame, with the character passing his shield onto Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as an old man after defeating Thanos and travelling back in time to return the stolen Infinity Stones to their respective timelines. There’s no word on how Evans will return to the role as that’s still being worked out, according to Deadline.
