Avengers: Endgame is playing in theaters and this Marvel Legends artwork gives us a new look at Chris Evans’ Captain America suit.
The Walmart Marvel Legends lineup features six-inch collectible figures of Marvel Cinematic Universe characters. In this new Captain America figure, Steve Rogers gets a new suit design similar to his look from the comic books and Avengers: Endgame. Here’s a look at the Chris Evans’ suit from Marvel Legends artist Jerry Wilson on Instagram:

This Captain America suit is close to the comics like the one from Avengers: Endgame. While this suit was rumored to make an appearance in Civil War, it didn’t. Cap’s chainmail or “scale mail” design debuted in Captain America Comics #1 in 1940 and has generally been a feature of his design. While Chris Evans’ Captain America suit has always had a similar design to the comics, it’s always been missing the “scaley” texture of the chainmail armor design up until Avengers: Endgame.
After Avengers: Endgame, Chris Evans retired the Captain America role. In the movie, Steve Rogers passes on Captain America’s shield to his friend Sam Wilson, a.k.a. Falcon. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will return in the upcoming Falcon and Winter Soldier Disney Plus series.
What do you think of this design for the Marvel Legends figure? Do you think Chris Evans’ Captain America should’ve had the chainmail design earlier in the MCU? Are you going to pick up this new figure? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
Chris Evans’ Captain America was last seen in Avengers: Endgame. Here is the official synopsis for the movie:
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
