Chris Hemsworth’s Shirt Burns Off As He Loses ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Weight

Avengers: Endgame star Chris Hemsworth shows off his superhero physique in a new video that features the actor performing his intense workout routine.

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame revealed Chris Hemsworth’s Thor had gained a significant amount of weight after isolating himself for five years following the closing moments of Infinity War. Of course, Chris Hemsworth wore a fat suit for his role as” Bro Thor” in the Marvel Studios epic and the 36-year-old actor has evidently been working hard to keep his superhero physique on point.

Earlier this week, Avengers: Endgame star Chris Hemsworth shared a video on his official Twitter account featuring himself working out. In the caption of the tweet, Chris Hemsworth mentions that it was so hot that his shirt “literally burst into flames.”

At San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced that Chris Hemsworth is set to reprise his role as the fan-favorite Avenger in Thor: Love and Thunder. Directed by Taika Waititi, Love and Thunder will also star Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman. It will be based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, with Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster becoming the new Thor, and is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 5, 2021.

For now, Thor fans can turn to all forms of home media to relive Chris Hemsworth’s most recent appearance as the God of Thunder in Avengers: Endgame. Here is the official synopsis for the movie:

So far, Warner Bros. has released official images from the film featuring Joaquin Phoenix along with Robert De Niro who plays talk show host Murray Franklin, as well as Zazie Beetz' Sophie Dumond, who appears to be a love interest of Joaquin Phoenix's Joker in the film.
