After The Mandalorian‘s visual effects wowed fans the world over, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder will use the same techniques.

The visual effects wing of Lucasfilm, Insustrial Light & Magic will help bring Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder to life on the big screen when the sequel from director Taika Waititi begins production. Most recently, Natalie Portman was spotted arriving in Australia with her family to supposedly begin work on the film, which will see Jane Foster become the new Thor. But ILM will help build out the cosmic adventure using the VFX they developed for The Mandalorian.

The stages built for The Mandalorian helped provide a surrounding digital landscape for the actors to feel immersed in the world, and it seems that magic will be brought to Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder. A new article from The Hollywood Reporter revealed the news, explaining that the new stages will be larger and boast more LED panels alongside a better resolution for imagery. Head of ILM Rob Bredow explained that the new stages are a unique offering to the film and TV industry.

“When combined with Industrial Light & Magic’s expert visual effects talent, motion capture experience, facial capture via Medusa, Anyma, and Flux, and the innovative production technology developed by ILM’s newly integrated Technoprops team, we believe we have a unique offering for the industry,”
