Chris Hemsworth is back in shape as the God of Thunder in the first trailer for Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder.

Thor: Love and Thunder was announced all the way back in 2019 in front of a packed Hall H crowd at San Diego Comic-Con. The upcoming film starring Chris Hemsworth has been shifted around but recently found a home in July, and fans have been eager to see the first trailer since it’s been such a long wait.

Chris Hemsworth recently shared on social media that the press tour kicked off for Thor: Love and Thunder, which led to many fans believing the first trailer was imminent. Well, those fans were correct because Marvel Studios has finally dropped the first look at the next Thor film, and you can watch it below.

Here’s the synopsis for the previous film in the franchise, Thor: Ragnarok:

In Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his home world and the end of Asgardian civilization at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!
