Christopher Reeve suits up as Kingdom Come Superman in this awesome new image that features the actor trading in his original suit from Richard Donnerโs 1978 Superman movie.
Plenty of actors have taken on the role of Superman in live-action,ย from George Reevesย to Dean Cain to Tom Welling, and even all the way up to Tyler Hoechlin, none have quite left their mark like Christopher Reeve.ย Christopher Reeveย is unquestionably one of the most popular actorsย toย have playedย Superman on the big screen and is stillย consideredย to be the definitive live-action portrayal of the Man of Steel. After his fourth appearance as the Last Son of Krypton, Christopher Reeve retired from the role with 1987’s Superman IV: The Quest for Peace.
But thanks to a new image, fans can get an idea for what an older Christopher Reeve could have looked like featured as Kingdom Come Superman. The image was even reposted byย Legendary artist Alex Ross. You can check it out below.

While we never got to see Christopher Reeve play Kingdom Come Superman, Brandon Routh will beย playingย a Kingdom Come version of Superman in the upcomingย Crisis on Infinite Earthsย crossover event on The CW.
Crisis on Infinite Earthsย has been teased since the very first episode of Grant Gustinโsย The Flash, whereย a newspaper headline from the year 2024 revealed theย Barry Allenโs fate was toย disappear during a โcrisis.โ However, theย fifth season finale ofย The Flashย accelerated this when the original newspaperย headlineย changed the date of the event from 2024 to 2019. To add to this, the seventh season finale ofย Arrowย set up Oliver Queenโs role in the nextย crossover by having him joinย the Monitor on a mission to warn other worlds of theย crisis, as part of theย arrangement Oliver made inย order to save the lives of both The Flash and Supergirl.
Crisis On Infinite Earths will span two quarters and consist of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman. The Arrowverse crossover will launch with three episodes in December before concluding with two additional episodes in January.
