Dope actress Kiersey Clemons is all set to play Barry Allen’s lifelong love Iris West in the DCEU, with the character’s first appearance set to be a cameo in Justice League before playing a much larger role in the recently announced Flashpoint movie.

In a recent interview with Collider, Kiersey Clemons revealed that she will not be a part of the currently-underway Justice League reshoots:

“I’m not doing any of the additional stuff. I’m all done with my stuff. I have no idea what’s about to happen, but it’s gonna be good.”

The actress also spoke about landing the role of Iris West and getting to cameo in Justice League:

“So I got The Flash and I knew that I was gonna be doing a part, like a little cameo in Justice League to introduce Iris West, but I had no idea what was gonna happen. I hadn’t even seen the script until I actually got to London.”

Kiersey Clemons also seemed really excited when Flashpoint came up in the coversation and joked that she can’t say anything:

Flashpoint! That’s a step in a direction. Don’t ask me any questions. I don’t know what’s happening, alright.”

The actress then revealed that she only found out that the Flash film would be re-worked into a Flashpoint movie moments in advance of the Hall H announcement at this year’s San Diego Comic Con:

“Yeah, well, I kind of like, right before I knew and then it happened, but yeah, Flashpoint. When means that like our script is probably done. That’s thrilling.”

When the interviewer then commented that this could mean we’ll be getting the film soon enough, Kiersey Clemons replied:

“Yeah, I think so too. Yeah, we’re getting there. Me and Ezra are excited.”
