A new Hawkeye promo puts the focus on Clint Barton’s mysterious past.
The last time we saw Clint Barton, he had reunited with his family after they had been snapped away in Avengers: Endgame. During the five-year period without them, the former Avenger took on the name of Ronin and took on criminals he believed didn’t have the right to live. But with his family back, Barton has left all that vengeful killing behind…right?
Clint Barton is set to return in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Hawkeye series, which sees him being whisked away on an action-packed adventure thanks to Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop. It’s unclear how Bishop manages to cajole Barton into joining her, but a new promo indicates that their mission has to do with Hawkeye’s mysterious past.
The latest promo for the series puts the emphasis on Clint Barton’s mysterious past catching up with him. Is it his time as an Avenger? Or when he was Ronin? It’s unclear from the brief promo but it looks like a major part of the series will be the character dealing with ghosts and demons from the past. Hopefully, he’ll still be able to get home in time for Christmas.
Here is the synopsis for Hawkeye:
“Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.”
Hawkeye is set to premiere with two episodes on November 24, exclusively on Disney Plus. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news regarding the future of Clint Barton and Kate Bishop in the MCU, and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
