The Batman star Colin Farrell is getting ready to play The Penguin opposite Robert Pattinson.
As filming for The Batman begins to ramp up, we’re staring to see exactly what some of our favorite heroes and villains will look like. Colin Farrell, who is set to take on the role of The Penguin opposite Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne, was recently spotted in Los Angeles with his new look for the movie. Based on the photos, it appears that Colin Farrell’s rendition of the Penguin will have silver-white hair, a different look from the Irish actor’s typical black hair color.
The photos were captured earlier this week, and Colin Farrell’s hairstyle is considerably different than the Batman Returns version of the Penguin, who had long curls with streaks of white and black hair. You can check out Colin Farrell’s Penguin look for The Batman below.

Colin Farrell joined The Batman late last year alongside Zoe Kravitz and Paul Dano, who are set to play Catwoman and The Riddler, respectively. It looks as if Colin Farrell has taken on a couple of pounds to play the Penguin, a role that typically expects the actor to be a bit on the bigger side. There’s no word as to when Colin Farrell will head on over to the United Kingdom to begin filming The Batman, but it’s clear that his overall prep for taking on the Penguin has begun.

Full plot details for The Batman are being kept under lock and key, but it is known that the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, Jayme Lawson as Bella, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, and Peter Sarsgaard.
The Batman hits theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news on Colin Farrell and the Penguin.
