After near silence on the project since its announcement, we now have the first image from the upcoming Jurassic World 2. The image appears to reveal a new character named Lucy, and takes place at a fossil museum.

The caption “walking in giant footsteps” is included alongside the tweet, and a dinosaur’s footprint is certainly a large one for a kid to fill. The film is currently in production and is slated for release next year. We will likely not be seeing a trailer until this fall at the earliest.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are returning for the sequel with newcomers Toby Jones, Justice Smith, Rafe Spall, Ted Levine, Daniella Pineda, Geraldine Chaplin, and James Cromwell.

Jurassic World was met with mixed critical reception, but destroyed the box office. Hopefully the sequel will appease both fans and critics alike.

Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World. Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure based on characters created by Michael Crichton. The screenplay is by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver and Derek Connolly & Trevorrow, and the story is by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers.

Jurassic World 2 hits theaters on June 22nd, 2018.
