Netflix shuts down production on their upcoming live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop after headlining star John Cho suffers an injury.
John Cho suffered a knee injury on the set of Cowboy Bebop in Aukland, New Zealand on October 5, 2019. No other specifics were reported on following John Cho’s injury, but the actor has since returned to Los Angeles, CA to undergo surgery and rehabilitation as a result of his injury.
Netflix released the following statement regarding the production suspension on Cowboy Bebop and John Cho’s injury:
“Our thoughts are with John and he has our complete support as he recuperates from this injury.”
Production on Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop is expected to resume around seven to nine months from now to accommodate John Cho’s recovery from his knee injury.
