Now that The Rise Of Skywalker has finally arrived in theaters, many fans were disappointed to see that Kelly Marie Tran’s Rose Tico was sidelined in favor of other characters across the film. While Kelly Marie Tran received plenty of abuse for her role in The Last Jedi, it seems that fans actually want more from Rose Tico. Now the Crazy Rich Asians director is pushing for Kelly Marie Tran’s Rose Tico to get her own Star Wars series.
The Crazy Rich Asians director Jon M. Chu took to Twitter to push Disney for Kelly Marie Tran’s Rose Tico to star in her own series, using the hashtag #RoseTicoDeservedBetter. Some fans noted that Rose Tico appeared in the latest Star Wars film for just over a minute. The Crazy Rich Asians director tweeted that he wants to make the Star Wars series happen on Disney+.
