A stunning piece of fan art depicts Batman: The Animated Series voice actor Kevin Conroy with a Batsuit for the Arrowverse crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Kevin Conroy made his debut as the voice of Batman in Batman The Animated Series in 1992. Since then, Kevin Conroy has reprised the role a number of times, including in the animated series Justice League and its sequel Justice League Unlimited. He even portrayed the character across three of the four Batman: Arkham games (skipping out only on the prequel, where the character was voiced by Roger Craig Smith doing an impersonation of a younger Kevin Conroy). And soon, Kevin Conroy will become an older version of Batman from an alternate universe for The CW’s adaptation of the DC Comics storyline Crisis on Infinite Earths.
As its name suggests, Crisis on Infinite Earths brings together tons of different versions of characters from across the DC Multiverse, with Kevin Conroy finally playing a live-action version of Batman. A digital artist named Arkin Tyagi recently took to Instagram to share a piece of fan art that imagines what Kevin Conroy could look like as Batman with some concept art using his likeness. See Kevin Conroy suited up as Batman in the artwork below.
Aside from Kevin Conroy, the cast for the crossover includes Brandon Routh as Superman, Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor, Burt Ward and the cast of The CW’s Black Lightning. Various cast members from the five DC Comics projects on The CW that comprise the Arrowverse will also be appearing, as Crisis on Infinite Earths marks the end of an era.
Crisis on Infinite Earths has been teased since the very first episode of The Flash, where a newspaper headline from the year 2024 revealed the Barry Allen’s fate was to disappear during a “crisis.” However, the fifth season finale of the Grant Gustin series accelerated this when the original newspaper headline changed the date of the event from 2024 to 2019. To add to this, the seventh season finale of Stephen Amell’s Arrow set up Oliver Queen’s role in the next crossover by having him join the Monitor on a mission to warn other worlds of the crisis, as part of the arrangement Oliver made in order to save the lives of both The Flash and Supergirl.
Crisis On Infinite Earths will span two quarters and consist of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman. The Arrowverse crossover will launch with three episodes in December before concluding with two additional episodes in January. Stay tuned for more news on Crisis on Infinite Earths, and Kevin Conroy’s role in it, as we learn it.
