While on the DC Universe streaming side of things, you’ve got Titans going strong, as well as the upcoming Doom Patrol show, but lest we forget that there is also a Swamp Thing series coming down the pipeline. A lot of key casting has already been confirmed for the project and now production and shooting are underway as well. And to get to the lede at last, there are recently surfaced set photos showing two key actors on set as the series is being filmed.
Per the DCUSwampThingFans Twitter account, just two days ago some images surfaced that show actors Andy Bean and Crystal Reed shooting on a lake. And Abby Arcane here looks to be in much better condition than Crystal Reed’s character across the pond in another DC universe, given how Sofia Falcone over on Gotham was last reported to be in a coma. But that’s unrelated, of course. Have a look at Andy Bean and Crystal Reed on set for Swamp Thing in the set photos below in the following tweet.

So right now, Dr. Alec Holland looks to be in good shape, in his human form, anyway, but this is naturally the calm before the storm. It will be interesting to see how Swamp Thing ultimately ends up looking in his transformed state. Not to mention actually seeing a Swamp Thing in live-action in some form in a DC universe, given a recent episode of Legends of Tomorrow with John Constantine confirming that he knows a Swamp Thing — thus indicating that Swamp Thing exists in the Arrowverse.
But you can count on this version to probably differ from that one. In the meantime, what are your thoughts and expectations on the upcoming DC Universe series? Are you excited for Swamp Thing? Let us know in the comments below.
Swamp Thing is set to hit the DC Universe streaming service in 2019.
