Daisy Ridley Eyed For ‘Tomb Raider’ Reboot

Fresh off her breakout role as Rey in J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Daisy Ridley is reportedly being eyed to bring Lara Croft to life in MGM’s and Warners’ Tomb Raider reboot, according to Deadline.

However, the report reveals that, while there have already been very early discussions between the actress and the producers of the movie, it’s still to early to tell whether or not she’ll land the role. Other young actresses are also being looked at for the highly coveted gig, so don’t get your hopes up yet.

Ridley is currently busy filming Star Wars: Episode VIII in Dubrovnik for a December 2017 release. The Tomb Raider reboot on the other hand, which will be directed by Roar Uthaug, has no release date as of yet. The movie will tell the origin story of Lara Croft.

What do you guys think? Would you like to see Ridley as a young Lara Croft or would you prefer another actress in the role? Sound-off your thoughts in the comment section.
