Daisy Ridley Says Rian Johnson Will Be ‘Cheekier’ With ‘Star Wars Episode VIII’ Teases

For those of you who aren’t in the loop, Star Wars: Episode VIII has been filming for a few weeks now. During this time, it has already become clear that director Rian Johnson will be a little more easygoing with teases and set images than J.J. Abrams was, as he has already posted plenty himself, plus he has allowed some of the cast members of the movie to do so as well.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Daisy Ridley revealed that, while there won’t be too many tidbits of info throughout the production of the movie, the director will be “a bit cheekier” with what he will decide to release:

“It’s still very lovely and warm and friendly, just like seven was. I think Rian actually wants to be a bit cheekier with the little tidbits of information that come out.”

We can all agree that J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens could be considered as one of the most secretive productions of all time, since the cast members weren’t even allowed to take their scripts with them outside of the set of the movie. Even Ridley admitted that the secrecy surrounding the project was a bit too much, and added:

“You can see, even with the way Mark and Carrie posted pictures with their chairs, it’s a little bit freer.”
