The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star Dane DeHaan joins the stacked cast of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer.

Christopher Nolan is gearing up to shoot his next film for Universal Pictures and not Warner Bros. this time around. The upcoming movie will follow The Dark Knight Trilogy star Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer, one of the men responsible for creating the atomic bomb during World War II. The Hollywood Reporter has now shared that Dane DeHaan will also appear in Oppenheimer.

Dane DeHaan will be part of an all-star ensemble that includes Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Benny Safdie, and Josh Hartnett.

Dane DeHaan put his name on the map after his turn in Josh Trank’s Chronicle and would later star in films like The Amazing Spider-Man 2, A Cure for Wellness, and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. There are no details on who DeHaan will portray in Oppenheimer at this time.

Here’s the synopsis for the director’s last film, Tenet:

Armed with only one word—Tenet—and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time. Not time travel. Inversion.

Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, and Himesh Patel. Christopher Nolan also serves as a producer alongside his wife Emma Thomas, with Thomas Hayslip as an executive producer.

Tenet is available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital Download, while Oppenheimer will hit theaters on July 21, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding Oppenheimer, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
