Daniel Craig confirmed that No Time to Die will be his final James Bond film.

Director Martin Campbell’s Casino Royale rebooted the James Bond franchise with Daniel Craig as the new 007. This new incarnation of James Bond received praised from moviegoers and Daniel Craig reprised the role in three subsequent films, the most recent being Spectre.

Now, Daniel Craig will portray James Bond for the fifth time in next year’s highly-anticipated No Time to Die, which was widely assumed to be his final outing as 007. During an interview with Express.de, Daniel Craig confirmed that someone else will have to take on the James Bond role when asked if No Time to Die was definitely his last time playing the character:

“Yes! In the future someone else has to do it!”

While Daniel Craig may be retiring from the role of James Bond, he was asked about the possibility of helming a 007 film after No Time to Die. However, Daniel Craig immediately shot down the idea of helming a James Bond film, noting that he doesn’t want to take on the additional responsibilities that would come with being a director:

“For God’s sake, no! I want to come home, eat something, and then go to bed. If you’re a director, then at night you’re still with the producers, screenwriters, and what do I know on the phone. And then after two hours of sleep, you have to go back up to the set. No thanks!”

Are you disappointed to hear Daniel Craig’s time as James Bond will come to an end after No Time to Die or are you hoping this era of 007 can come to a satisfying conclusion? Let us know below!
