First Look At Danny Ramirez & Shira Haas On ‘Captain America: New World Order’ Set

Danny Ramirez and Shira Haas were spotted filming Captain America: New World Order alongside Anthony Mackie. Ramirez is reprising his role as as Joaquin Torres, who is transforming into The Falcon now that Sam Wilson is the new Captain America, with Haas making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Sabra. Take a look at the first photos of the three actors on set below.

Joaquin Torres will be returning to the MCU as Joaquin Torres, who was introduced in the Disney Plus series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Torres is a character who becomes The Falcon’s successor in the comics, and it appears that this storyline will continue in the fourth Captain America movie.

Meanwhile, Shira Haas is playing Sabra, a character from the comics who is a member of the Israeli superhero team Guardians of the Globe. Sabra has enhanced strength, agility, reflexes and also possesses the ability to fire energy blasts. It is currently unknown how Sabra will fit into the plot of Captain America: New World Order, but her inclusion adds to the already impressive cast.

Captain America: New World Order sees Antony Mackie returning to the role of Sam Wilson following the events of the Disney Plus series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The series ended with Wilson taking up the mantle of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Anthony Mackie has been a popular figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since his introduction as Sam Wilson in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and his elevation to the role of Captain America has been met with great enthusiasm from fans. New World Order marks his first cinematic solo outing as Captain America.

What to expect from the Captain America sequel

Details regarding the plot of Captain America: New World Order are being kept under wraps. Thunderbolt Ross (Harrison Ford) and The Leader (Tim Blake Nelson) are expected to serve as the main villains of the movie, which begins production this Spring for a May 2024 release.

Julius Onah is directing Captain America: New World Order, working a script by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. The cast of the movie also includes Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley and Shira Haas as Sabra, with Xosha Roquemore on board in an undisclosed role.
