Daredevil ‘Unlikely’ To Return On The Big Screen

Sorry Daredevil fans, it looks like a return on the big screen is not in the cards for the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.

Daredevil is the latest Marvel Netflix series to be canceled, despite receiving strong reviews for its latest season, which introduced the iconic villain Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) to the series. Marvel’s Netflix universe is slowly fading away and if you’re hoping to see the character on the big screen now, it seems that most likely won’t be the case.

Daredevil hasn’t had a good run on the big screen, with the Ben Affleck-starring 2003 film adaptation still being an infamous mark on superhero film history. When the series launched on Netflix, fans fell in love with the character all over again. According to a report from Deadline, a return to the big screen for the character is “unlikely”.

“A Daredevil series on the planned Disney streaming platform or another movie could be an option too, though that the latter seems unlikely, we hear.”

Daredevil showrunner Erik Oleson recently posted on social media that he had pitched a fourth season of the series to Netflix, which gave fans hope that the series would live on despite earning disappointing viewership numbers. This doesn’t mean that Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and the rest of the Defenders can’t return in other ways, but nothing has been officially announced on that just yet.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Daredevil as soon as more information becomes available. Which season of the Marvel Netflix series has been your favorite so far? How would you like to see the character make his return, even if it’s not in a movie or Disney+ series? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world, or embracing his destiny as a hero.

Daredevil season 3 stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Wilson Bethel, Jay Ali, and Lesley Ann Warren.

Daredevil season 3 is currently available to stream on Netflix.
