During an interview with Digital Spy, Vincent D’Onofrio stated he does not believe Marvel’s Daredevil is gone for good.
After Netflix canceled Daredevil shortly after the acclaimed third season debuted on the streaming service, fans launched a campaign to save the series and star Vincent D’Onofrio has supported efforts to keep the show alive. While some time would have to pass before the characters can be used outside of Netflix, Vincent D’Onofrio said he doesn’t believe the series is over forever:
“Do I think it is gone forever? I don’t think it is gone forever. The problem is that Marvel is such a huge company and they have so many rights owned by so many different people for all of that stuff to get in line together. I know that a certain amount of time has to elapse before they are allowed to do anything away from Netflix. Us actors are the last to know anything. But I don’t think it is gone forever. But it was definitely odd for a lot of people. All of those shows got canceled and it had nothing to do with a lack of audience.”
