Ray Park reveals he trained heavily to portray Darth Maul in Solo: A Star Wars Story despite having no action scenes.

Darth Maul’s surprise appearance at the end of Solo: A Star Wars Story blew fans’ minds who had no idea that the Prequel Trilogy villain would be reintroduced in the films. Fans of Star Wars: Rebels knew that The Phantom Menace wasn’t the last of the Sith villain, but seeing Ray Park reprise the role almost two decades later was unexpected.

Park has shared an image of himself of Instagram revealing that despite knowing that Maul had no action sequences in the film, he trained three to four hours a day to keep the look of the Sith villain. He also comments that the makeup he wore had an intentional look that he was not going into. Could he be hinting at the return of Darth Maul once again, perhaps in the solo Obi-Wan Kenobi film?
