‘Avengers’ Star Dave Bautista Teases ‘Dune’ Showdown With Aquaman Actor Jason Momoa

Avengers star Dave Bautista has teased a fight that will take place between himself and Aquaman actor Jason Momoa in Dune.

Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa are both set to return to their respective comic book movie roles soon, but are set both set to star in Dune first. Avengers star Dave Bautista is set to play Glossu Rabban while Aquaman actor Jason Momoa will portray Duncan Idaho in the film.

Not much has been revealed from Denis Villeneuve’s Dune so far, but Avengers star Dave Bautista might be teasing that material from the film could be coming soon. Dave Bautista recently tweeted out an image of his Avengers character, Drax, alongside Jason Momoa’s Aquaman. Based on the Prelude to Dune, it seems Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa’s characters will battle each other in the upcoming film. You can check out Dave Bautista’s tweet below.

Denis Villeneuve is also helming the pilot of the Dune: The Sisterhood television series for Warner Bros. in addition to serving as an executive producer on the project. A release date for the HBO Max Dune series has yet to be announced.

Dune is scheduled to hit theaters December 18, 2020.
