Dave Chappelle channels Negan in an ‘Saturday Night Live’ sketch about ‘The Walking Dead’.

There was nothing better or more fitting on Saturday Night Live last night than watching Dave Chappelle, after a long absence, host the comedy sketch show.

A comedian and creator of Chappelle’s Show, Chappelle really delivered last night. After a cold open of Kate McKinnon as Hillary Clinton singing “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen, Chappelle gave a good opening monologue and then, in several instances, went on to joke about Trump.

But probably one of his most memorable sketches from last night included the comedian getting into character as Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, from The Walking Dead.

In the Walking Dead SNL sketch, Chappelle not only portrays the bat swinging killer, but his characters from Chappelle’s Show also make an appearance. Tyronne Biggums, Lil Jon, Leonard Washington, and others made an appearance in the sketch.

The sketch makes fun of Negan’s introductory scene, which left many fans on edge. Chappelle has long been asked to bring back his characters and he thought it fitting that they appear in this sketch after seeing the episode of The Walking Dead.

Chappelle walks around, leather jacket, scarf, and bat in hand, while he gets ready to take out one of his victims. How does he choose who to kill? He plays a game of “bubblegum, bubblegum in a dish”. You can watch the entire Walking Dead SNL sketch below!
