Taking to Twitter, David Ayer revealed that a concept toy featuring Joker in Batman’s costume for Suicide Squad was merely a concept.
Responding to a fan who asked him if the toy was based on actual footage or cut content from the film Suicide Squad, David Ayer clarified by stating the concept was merely for the toy. You can check out both tweets below:
This was only a toy concept. No wardrobe like this was created. https://t.co/L0PUAK47Yp

The Joker in Batman’s suit is a brilliant concept and while it’s very cool, it would certainly need to fit into the context of the movie. Superhero-based films often have various action figures and toys designs that highly deflect from the source material in favor of marketability, so this clearly falls under that case.

Batman can currently be seen in Justice League, which is playing in theaters. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:

But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
