David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham are set to join the cast of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, taking on the roles of Supergirl’s Kryptonian parents, Zor-El and Alura.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham will star alongside Milly Alcock, who portrays the titular Supergirl, in the Craig Gillespie-directed film for DC Studios. The project is part of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC Universe slate.

What we know about the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow movie

Written by Ana Nogueira, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is a fresh take on Supergirl, distinct from the previous DC Universe lineup featuring Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Woman of Tomorrow draws inspiration from an acclaimed comic book series by Tom King and Bilquis Evely, which was published between 2021 and 2022.

James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe kicked off with the animated series Creature Commandos, followed by Superman: Legacy, which stars David Corenswet as Superman, and Peacemaker season 2, where John Cena reprises his role as the titular antihero. This lineup marks the beginning of Gunn and Safran’s vision for a revamped DC franchise.

Alcock is expected set to appear in another DC project before her big-screen debut as Supergirl, giving fans an early glimpse of her take on the iconic hero. While details are being kept under wraps, that project is expected to be the upcoming Superman movie.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow premieres in theaters on June 26, 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
