DC’s ‘Flashpoint’ Possibly Shooting In The UK

Justice League FlashpointWarner Bros. may be looking to shoot Flashpoint, DC’s long-in-development standalone Flash film in the United Kingdom.

While a previous report suggests the production may be heading to Vancouver, the studio may be looking to take the Flashpoint production to the UK to utilize the soundstages at Leavesden Studios — the home to both the Wonder Woman and Justice League productions — according to OmegaUnderground’s Christoper Marc.

Game Night directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are set to direct Flashpoint from a script written by King Arthur: Legend of the Sword scribe Joby Harold. Plot details are still under wraps, however, should the film stay true to the source material, Flashpoint would feature The Flash in an alternate timeline after returning to the past to save his mother.

Both Ezra Miller and Kiersey Clemons are committed to star as the titular hero and his love interest Iris West in Flashpoint, which will also feature an appearance byGal Gadot’s Wonder Woman.

A timetable for the start of production on Flashpoint is still unknown, however, the production was suggested to be in tow following DC’s Shazam! and the Wonder Woman sequel. In addition to those projects, the studio is also looking to begin production on Todd Phillips’ Joker origin movie later this year, as well as Matt Reeves’ The Batman in 2019.

Flashpoint does not currently have a release date. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the future of DC Films as we learn it.

Previous1 of 8

DeathstrokeNow that fans know Deathstroke will be getting his own movie directed by The Raid’s Gareth Evans, it’s time for everyone to brush up on their Slade Wilson knowledge. Deathstroke is DC’s deadliest assassin and one of the smartest tacticians in the world, as well as the oldest foe of the Teen Titans. He’s even taken on the whole Bat-family single-handedly and escaped, proving just how tough of a fighter he is.

The movie will likely depict him as an anti-hero of sorts, a relatively new status for the character. Throughout most of his history Deathstroke has always been more of a self-interested fighter than a righteous man, but recently he’s developed a conscious and a desire to help people in DC Rebirth. He was even one of the main villains in the Batman: Arkham Origins game, proving that audiences are ready for more Slade Wilson.
