‘Titans’ Beast Boy Actor On Alternate Transformation In Original Season Finale

Speaking to A Book Of, DC’s Titans Beastboy actor Ryan Potter mentioned that we may have seen some sort of “aquatic animal” in the seasons’ finale.

After being asked if fans were going to see Beastboy turn in something different than a tiger, Potter said he would have turned into an “amphibian creature of sorts” before the season ended:

“In the season finale, we might see Garfield turn into some sort of aquatic animal. I can’t say which animal because that’s too much of a giveaway but he will turn into an amphibious creature of sorts.”

He went on speaking of the importance of the portrayal of the character for the fans and that he got much of his background more from the animated series than the comics:

“I kinda knew from the get go that it wouldn’t be an easy job just because of how much of a built in fan base there already is but I also had faith in my abilities to portray him simply because I grew up sitting on my couch every Saturday and Sunday watching Teen Titans and watching Beastboy so I did grew up with the character to a certain degree.  I didn’t grow up with him in the comic book sense but I grew up with him in the animation sense. Once I started auditioning for this, I went out and purchased all the comic books that Beastboy was in and ended up kinda speed reading through all of them.”

It seems Potter got a strong background to interpret Beastboy and ratings for the show definitely show that. Both fans and critics have had good reviews in general for the first live-action representation of the Teen Titans. Hopefully, in the future, we may get more transformations from Beaastboy!
