Fans have long accepted that while Batman may not have superhuman abilities, the caped crusader has been able go head-to-head against some of the powerful villains thanks to his intellect and high-tech gadgets. Of course, the Dark Knight is also a highly skilled combatant, often engaging in brawls to take down anyone from common thugs to empowered supervillains. However, just how powerful is the caped crusader? YouTube user Comic Books vs The World has now determined the precise strength of the DCEU version of Batman, played by Ben Affleck, using a series of formulas and the Warner Bros. featurette “Anatomy of a Punch.”
The video determines the force of Batman’s punch to be 220.11 Newtons, meaning a single punch from the Dark Knight translates to being hit with 49 pounds of force.
The video also analyzes several scenes from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice to determine Batman’s lifting power and his enhanced strength after he dons his armor.
