Deadpool 2 (still not sure if this will be the official name or not) is reportedly filming scenes at Hatley Castle, which has long been a stand-in for Professor Charles Xavier’s mansion in all of the X-Men films. Deadpool himself showed up there in the first film to get some help and ended up conversing with Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus.
The mansion is located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. According to CBR, the yellow cab used in Deadpool was seen on set and they also mentioned that most of the filming was inside the castle itself. It’s probably why none of the cast was spotted outside.
Deadpool was pretty successful in 2016 and clearly made its mark on both critics and audiences. It’s the one film currently sort of tied into the X-Men movie universe as both film franchises are 20th Century Fox. Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool even spent a lot of the first film poking fun of Hugh Jackman (who plays Wolverine in nine films).
David Leitch’s Deadpool 2 stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Jack Kesy and Shioli Kutsuna.
The film is set to hit theaters on June 1, 2018.
