After giving a sneak peek at Zazie Beetz as Domino last week, Ryan Reynolds has finally unveiled the first official image of Academy Award nominee Josh Brolin in full costume as Cable for next year’s Deadpool 2. You can check out the image below.

Josh Brolin signed a four-picture deal to play Cable in 20th Century Fox’s Marvel movies. He is set to make his debut as Cable in the upcoming Deadpool sequel.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but Reynolds is returning as the Merc with the Mouth alongside much of the cast from the first film, including Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, T.J. Miller as Weasel and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al. Other franchise newcomers confirmed for the sequel include Julian Dennison, Jack Kesy and Shioli Kutsuna in undisclosed roles.

Production on the 20th Century Fox project is currently underway and expected to last until September. John Wick co-director David Leitch is at the helm, working from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the writers behind the first Deadpool movie.

Deadpool 2 hits theaters on June 1, 2018. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the upcoming movie, and make sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more content!
