Deadpool 2 appears to be a bit further along in development than initially presumed, as the movie (working under the production title of Love Machine) appears to be taking sights at a filming start date of May 1, 2017.

Omega Underground is currently corroborating a report from My Entertainment World that Deadpool 2 is looking at a May 1, 2017 start date for filming.

The site has noted that, according to their own research, Vancouver will indeed be the primary filming location of the highly-anticipated sequel. The source that they used was a site covering local productions, which previously broke that Shane Black’s The Predator will be filming in Vancouver before it was confirmed more recently.

Deadpool 2 currently does not have a release date, but Twentieth Century Fox scheduled three dates for Marvel releases in 2018 –  March 2, June 29, and November 2. The first seemed like a likely window for the sequel to release until the film was delayed slightly by director Tim Miller leaving the project and subsequently being replaced by David Leitch (and currently unlikely unless production is rushed, which it won’t be), while the last will likely be the release window for the 2018 X-Men film teased to begin production soon.

Cast members confirmed to be returning are Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and – of course – Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. Pierce Brosnan is strongly rumored to be playing Cable, while Kerry Washington is apparently the front-runner to play Domino.
