‘Deadpool’: Rob Liefeld Shares First Drawing Of Domino

Fans were introduced to Zazie Beetz’s version of Domino yesterday, via a photo from the upcoming Deadpool 2. Yesterday also featured the release of a different image of Domino, the first drawing of her by her creator Rob Liefeld.

Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld posted the picture of his first-ever drawing of the character on his Instagram account with the following caption:

“My first sketch of Domino, ever. 1991. Name, powers, purpose enclosed with the bill of sale, one of many characters that I provided in a long and successful partnership with mighty Marvel! #robliefeld #zaziebeetz #Deadpool #marvel #xforce”

The character would go on to debut in New Mutants #98 and has always been a fan favorite in the series.

Domino will be brought to the screen in the upcoming Deadpool 2Deadpool 2 is directed by David Leitch (John Wick, Atomic Blonde) and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The film stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Nathan Summers/Cable, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapicic as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Shioli Kutsuna, Julian Dennison and Jack Kesy as the film’s villain (rumored to be Black Tom Cassidy).

Deadpool 2 is slated to hit theaters on June 1, 2018.
