‘Deadpool’ Lands Producers Guild Award Nomination

Deadpool, Golden Globes
Though Deadpool and it’s star, Ryan Reynolds, were unable to capture a Golden Globe award, the accolades for the film continue to roll in. The Producers Guild of America has announced its nominees and Deadpool has earned a nomination for the Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures award.

Producers Simon Kinberg, Ryan Reynolds and Lauren Shuler Donner share the nomination and face competition from films such as Arrival, Fences, Hacksaw Ridge, Hell or High Water, Hidden Figures, La La Land, Lion, Manchester by the Sea and Moonlight.

The nomination is just the latest in a series of accolades for the film, including Golden Globe, Writers Guild Award, and Critics Choice Awards nominations. The film would go on to win two Critics Choice Awards.

The ceremony will be held on January 28, 2017 at the Beverly Hilton hotel.
