A kid cosplaying as Marvel’s Merc with the Mouth for this year’s Halloween left Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds stunned.

Also known as the man behind the popular YouTube channel Action Movie Kids, Daniel Hashimoto shared this video of what he describes as his kid dressed up as Deadpool on Twitter, with Ryan Reynolds tagged to the post. The video starts with the kid walking confidently in the Deadpool costume, but things go from 0-100 real quick when he removes his mask.

What’s revealed here is so shocking to Ryan Reynolds that you just need to check out the video for yourself:

Wow. As you can see, the kid removes the mask to reveal what appears to be a deepfake version of Ryan Reynolds’ likeness and voice transposed onto the body of a child. Truly fitting for Deadpool’s twisted sense of humor.

What did you think of this Halloween cosplay of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool? Given that Deadpool is one of the most common cosplays represented at comic book conventions, does the addition of Ryan Reynolds make this one stand out? Tell us your thoughts in the comments!

Here is the official synopsis for Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 2:

Directed by David Leitch from a script written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick & Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool 2 stars Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jack Kesy.
