‘The Defenders’: Luke Cage Pokes Fun At Daredevil On Twitter

Whoever is running all of the Twitter accounts for all of the Marvel Netflix shows, just know that I am a fan. The regular back and forth between the accounts for Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist is hilarious and all of their interactions with one another are completely in character.

Today, for Throwback Thursday, @Daredevil tweeted a short clip from a Season 1 episode where Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) is confronting Madame Gao (Wai Ching Ho), trying to find information on the whereabouts of Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin (Vincent D’onofrio), and she promptly responds by knocking him on his butt. The tweet included the caption, “Down but not out.”

Check out the video in the first tweet below:

Then, a few minutes later, Harlem’s bulletproof hoodie-wearing hero responded to the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, asking him, “You scared of a little old lady”?:

The Man without Fear then quickly replied with one simple word:

I think these kind of jabs and teasing jokes between the future Defenders is great. It’s such a small thing, but it really does help build my excitement for their upcoming team-up in the highly-anticipated The Defenders, which is now only a few short months away.

Marvel’s The Defenders stars Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, Rosario Dawson, Scott Glenn, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Rachel Taylor, Simone Missick, Jessica Henwick, Elodie Yung and Sigourney Weaver.

“Marvel’s The Defenders” follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.

Marvel’s The Defenders is set to debut on Netflix on August 18, 2017.
