Marvel has released a new teaser for the upcoming Netflix series The Defenders, the team-up show for the street level heroes, teasing the rise of Black Sky.
Plot details for The Defenders are still under wraps but the series will follow the heroes for hire including Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Jessica Jones Krysten Ritter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) as they put their resources together to take on a mysterious businesswoman named Alexandra, played by Sigourney Weaver. The biggest clue we have so far is that the threat the heroes face somehow revolves around the offices at Midland circle, which happens to be where Daredevil and Elektra (Elodie Yung) discovered the massive hole in the ground in season two of Daredevil.
The new promo teases the return of Yung now as Black Sky aka The Bringer of Shadows. Yung first appeared in season two of Daredevil as Elektra and was last seen when she was resurrected from the dead as the weapon Black Sky. You can watch the promo below.

The series will also see the return of many cast members from the Netflix corner of the MCU including Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse, Scott Glenn as Stick, and Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker.
The Defenders hits Netflix August 18.
