Next year, humanity will say goodbye to Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Whether you love or hate Fox’s X-Men universe, it is hard to deny Jackman’s incredible feat. Since 2000, Jackman has portrayed the character seven times, including a cameos in X-Men: First Class and this year’s X-Men: Apocalypse. Following the conclusion of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, Jackman’s Wolverine is the only reminder of my childhood in superhero films today, so it will be especially sad saying goodbye. But, alas, the time has not come yet.
Last week was Brazil’s biggest Comic Con, and with that, new footage from a ton of upcoming blockbusters was shown. Included in this was Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok and, of course, Logan. The final Wolverine movie has remained fairly quiet since the first trailer landed, but has quickly become everyone’s most anticipated blockbuster of 2017. Special thanks to X-Men Films.com for translating information found at Univers0 X-Men.
The footage description is as follows:
“Hugh Jackman himself debuted an exclusive clip via video message. There’s no big spoilers. It showed Logan, Charles Xavier and Laura (X-23) having dinner with a family in a house on a farm. They’re on the run, fleeing from someone and don’t reveal to the family that they’re mutants. When questioned about their true intentions for being on the road, Xavier and Logan give different responses, in comedic fashion.
Laura is described as acting wild, eating dinner with her hands and no silverware. Logan tries to teach her how to eat and there’s a sense of a father-daughter type relationship between them.
Logan then tells the family that Xavier used to be a school principal. Xavier expands on this, calling it a “school for students with special needs.” He says that Logan was also at this school.”
So, what do you guys think? Are you excited for Jackman’s final performance as Logan/Wolverine? It will be incredibly sad to see him go, but I think now is the perfect time.
Logan arrives in theatres everywhere March 3rd, 2017.
