Detective Comics Just Resurrected This Classic Batman Character

The latest issue of Detective Comics just resurrected a classic Batman character that will change everything for one of Batman’s most notable villains.

Spoilers ahead for Detective Comics #1013, you’ve been warned! The latest issue of Detective Comics brings back a character that finally gives one of Batman’s longstanding villains exactly what he’s wanted for years. Mr. Freeze has been plaguing Batman for some time as part of DC’s Year of the Villain storyline, but it’s all about to change for the caped crusader when the latest issue of Detective Comics brings back Mr. Freeze’s wife, Nora Fries.

After a climactic battle against Mr. Freeze’s horrific experiments and chasing him across the ice, Batman loses track of the villain but manages to save a whole group of women he’d kidnapped in his attempts to revive his wife from cryogenic stasis. Detective Comics #1013 then shows us the moment the iconic Batman villain has been waiting for, when he’s finally able to bring Nora Fries back to life.

How do you think Nora Fries will react to her husband’s villainous antics now that she’s been resurrected? What does this mean for Batman’s fight against Mr. Freeze in the next issue of Detective Comics? Let us know in the comments!

Batman is set to return to the big screen in The Batman, with Robert Pattinson playing the Dark Knight. Plot details are being kept under wraps. Previous rumors once pointed to an earlier version of the script featuring Ben Affleck bookending the movie as his current Batman while it introduced a younger version of the iconic character, played by Robert Pattinson. But with Ben Affleck retired from the role, Robert Pattinson has officially replaced the Batman v Superman and Justice League star as Batman.

The Batman arrives in theaters on June 25, 2021.
