‘Han Solo’: Diego Luna Keeps Mum On Potential Film Appearance

Star Wars Billy Dee Williams Harrison Ford Lando Calrissian Han Solo

Thanks to the success of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, everything seems to bode well for the upcoming Star Wars Story films such as the untitled Han Solo movie. This film will be directed by  21 Jump Street and The LEGO Movie directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and star Alden Ehrenreich as everyone’s favorite scoundrel as well as Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke and Woody Harrelson.

Given the timeline of the upcoming film, we will be seeing a younger Han Solo before his fateful meeting with Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Knowing that Rogue One leads directly into the original Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, it is possible that characters from that film can make an appearance.

Diego Luna, who portrayed Captain Cassian Andor in the film was asked by MTV’s Josh Horowitz about whether or not we may see Cassian in the Han Solo movie. Interestingly enough, Luna left an intriguing answer:

Who knows? You never know! I don’t have an answer for that.

Okay, since Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it seems that J.J. Abrams has left a significant impact on how secrecy is kept when it comes to story details as well as what iconic characters may be appearing. Sure, fans already knew the outcome of Rogue One’s mission, but besides Darth Vader, the appearances of certain iconic Star Wars characters was kept hidden from marketing materials.

As for whether or not we may see Luna or any of his Rogue One co-stars reprise their roles in a future film, those details remain unknown. But I would be intrigued to see him pop up in the Han Solo movie. I’d like to see him interact with the scoundrels of the galaxy.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is now in theaters.
