Disney and IMAX will host a fan screening of the live-action adaption of Beauty and the Beast in select IMAX theaters on March 6, 2017. The screening will be followed by a Q & A session with talent from the film.

In celebration of the highly anticipated March 17 release of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, IMAX and Disney are partnering to host an exclusive fan event — Beauty and the Beast: IMAX Screening and Live Stream Q & A — in select U.S. IMAX theatres on March 6 at 4 p.m. PST. The fan event will feature one of the first advanced public screenings of the film and a live stream Q & A with talent from Beauty and the Beast joining the celebration, in person, at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX in Los Angeles. The live stream Q & A will be available to view at Facebook.com/IMAX.
Fans who attend the special IMAX event will be among the first to experience Beauty and the Beast in its specially formatted IMAX presentation, which features an expanded 1.9:1 aspect ratio for the entirety of the film, offering fans 26% more image in IMAX than standard theatres. Guests of the event will also receive a limited-edition, collectible Beauty and the Beast IMAX poster.

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action adaptation of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.
Beauty and the Beast will be released in theaters on March 17, 2017.
