A new international poster has arrived for Disney’s live action adaptation of their animated classic Mulan starring Yifei Liu.

The new international poster for Disney’s Mulan starring Yifei Liu recently surfaced online, showing the two sides of Mulan in the film. The latest footage from Disney’s Mulan was unveiled at D23, showing off the inventive style of director Niki Caro as Yifei Liu’s Mulan trains to become a warrior so she can help defend the country from northern invaders. Disney’s Mulan will utilise some unique cinematography to separate the live-action film from the animated original.

Interestingly, Disney’s Mulan has been met with much controversy after Yifei Liu posted messages of support for the Hong Kong Police, who’ve been accused of widespread police brutality against pro-democracy protestors. This later led to the #BoycottMulan movement with thousands of people on social media promising not to support Disney’s Mulan. The new poster shows off both sides of Mulan as a warrior and as herself. It’ll be interesting to see how audiences react to Disney’s Mulan when it arrives in March 2020, take a look at the new poster below.
