Deadline reports Disney’s Mulan trailer received 175 million views online within the first 24 hours of its debut.
During the FIFA Women’s World Cup final on Sunday, Disney unveiled the first official teaser for Mulan, the upcoming live-action remake of the animated film from 1998. Within the first 24 hours of its release, the Mulan teaser reached 175 million views online, placing behind only the 224 million views received by the trailer for Disney’s The Lion King in terms of most first-day views for a live-action film by Walt Disney Studios.
The Mulan teaser is also the seventh most watched trailer within the first 24 hours overall, behind such films as Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Infinity War, The Lion King, IT, and The Fate of the Furious. Of the 175 million views earned by the new teaser, 52 million of those came from China, where “The Ballad of Mulan” originates.
