King Nereus actor Dolph Lundgren revealed the upcoming Aquaman sequel will film this summer in London.
Despite the massive success of the first Aquaman film, as it became the highest-grossing DC movie of all-time, the sequel wasn’t fast-tracked since James Wan went onto direct Malignant. Aquaman 2 will be Wan’s next project, and based on recent comments made by King Nereus actor Dolph Lundgren, filming could begin in a few months.
We haven’t had a significant update on Aquaman 2 since James Wan teased the sequel will be more serious than the first film at DC FanDome. Over the weekend, Dolph Lundgren shared during a virtual Wizard World event that he might return as King Nereus this summer:
“I may be doing Aquaman 2 this summer, shooting in London. And that’s coming out the following year in the theaters, they hope.”
