Vincent D’Onofrio, who played the villainous Wilson Fisk/Kingpin on the recently canceled Netflix and Marvel series Daredevil, has come forward in support of the #SaveDaredevil campaign on Twitter.

D’Onofrio retweeted some fans of the #SaveDaredevil campaign, including a link to savedaredevil.com, as seen below:

If you click the link, you’ll see that the website features ways that you can contact executives at Disney, Marvel Television, and Netflix, as well as a link to a Change.org petition for the movement. Over 34,940 signatures have made it onto the petition as of this writing.

Here’s what D’Onofrio had to say about Daredevil‘s cancellation on Twitter:

“Something authentic about [Daredevil]. Odd2say about a super hero series. I think it was all the people. Charlie Cox his integrity&kindness, the writers &our champion [Marvel CCO Joe Quesada]. Our passionate boss Jeph Loeb. I’ll revisit [Daredevil] in my mind&always feel that it is indeed authentic. I’m in such an odd business”. “Don’t feel bad folks it makes no sense.”

It’s nice to know how passionate D’Onofrio feels, and even more so to throw his support behind a noble cause like renewing Daredevil. While the show is over, it has been said that Matt Murdock will show up elsewhere.

What do you think of this #SaveDaredevil movement? Will you be singing it? Leave your thoughts in the comments!!

Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world, or embracing his destiny as a hero.

Daredevil season 3 stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Joanne Whalley, Jay Ali, Wilson Bethel, Stephen Rider, and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.

Daredevil is now available on Netflix.
