After having their introduction in the Titans series, the folks at Doom Patrol are set to get things underway with their own series on the DC Universe. And a new photo released today gives us a better look at Jovian Wade’s Cyborg.
The photo showcases Victor Stone in all of his Adidas glory with Jovian Wade looking ready for battle in the upcoming DC Universe series. While some in fandom still have a few gripes about the headpiece and its placement on Wade’s face, keep in mind that we’re still talking television budget here. They can’t all look like the Cyborg we saw in Justice League. But anyway, have a look at DC Universe’s take on Cyborg in the Doom Patrol photo below:
Between the critical reaction to Titans and recent marketing kicking in for Doom Patrol, the DC Universe is slowly building out its…well, universe. Doom Patrol stars Matt Bomer, Timothy Dalton, Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby, Jovian Wade, Brendan Fraser, and Alan Tudyk. The series will debut on the DC Universe streaming service on February 15, 2019.
DC Universe Debuts ‘Doom Patrol’ Character Posters
Along with the premiere of the first teaser for Doom Patrol, DC Universe also debuted a collection of character posters for each of the members of perhaps the strangest team of characters to be adapted in live-action form for DC Comics.
In particular, these new character posters highlight Timothy Dalton's The Chief, Diane Guerrero's Crazy Jane, Joivan Wade's Cyborg, April Bowlby's Elasti-Woman, Matt Bomer's Negative Man and Brendan Fraser's Robotman. These posters each follow unique designs that reflect the nature of each character and tease unique personalities amongst the group as well.
