‘Doom Patrol’ Reportedly Adding Darren Jones & Danny The Street To Series

Crazy Jane Elasti-Woman DC Universe Doom Patrol Titans

It looks like Danny the Street and Darren Jones will be joining the large cast of oddball characters featured in the Doom Patrol series.

Episode four of the DC Universe original series Titans introduced viewers to Gar’s (Ryan Potter) “family”, otherwise known as the Doom Patrol by fans of the comics. The episode isn’t the last time fans will get to see the eclectic group of misfit meta-humans. In February, the team will be headlining their own spin-off series on the service and it looks like the cast is about to get even weirder.

According to a report from GeekWorldWide, characters Darren Jones and Danny the Street will be appearing in Doom Patrol. Danny the Street is a character from the comics who is literally a street that moves around. The report claims that in the series, Danny will still be the sentient street fans know and love, but he will also “infect people with his personality”. Much of the character’s focus will apparently be a drag queen named Morris.

Darren Jones is a villain from the comics who essentially has a hate for anything, or anyone, who is out of the ordinary. In the comics, Jones wants to kill Danny and it seems that the same dynamic could possibly be how we’re introduced to the two characters when Doom Patrol begins airing in February.

Doom Patrol stars April Bowlby, Diane Guerrero, Joivan Wade, Brendan Fraser, Alan Tudyk, Timothy Dalton and Matt Bomer.

The series will premiere on DC Universe in February 2019.
